“One of the lessons that I grew up with was…”

“One of the lessons that I grew up with was to always stay true to yourself and never let what somebody else says distract you from your goals. And so when I hear about negative and false attacks, I really don’t invest any energy in them, because I know who I am.”
-Michelle Obama

Staying true to yourself might be a challenge even for the strongest person, but it is very important in business and personal. Many people go against the idea of embracing the bad along with the good and it can be a lonely road if no-one seems to understand you.

Embrace your differences and you will be able to approach life in a more positive light. Don’t ever loose track of where you have been and where you are going….there is always a lesson along the way!

  1. This is good advice but its not only hard to hang on to when you have detractors from your work its hard to balance with an open-eyed acknowledgement of the wisdom of those who’ve gone before you. Still worth saying for all that.
